Originally from Mankato, Minnesota, I grew up visiting the Bemidji area often with my family and fell in love with the area. After graduation, I joined the USAF and with a honorable discharge from the Grand Forks AFB ND, I attended UND. In 1999, I moved to Bemidji to manage an automotive repair facility, which I did for 15 years, helping to build a great clientele base and creating an amazing network. I have always followed the real estate market in this area, finding innovative ways to buy, sell, build and invest in real estate.
In 2015, I started an LLC with my brother to purchase rental properties with the intention of giving back to the community. By being the CEO, I did learn a lot through buying and selling investment properties, as well as personally. In the spring of 2017, it was decided that my love for real estate, combined with a desire to help people have the experience of their life, that I made the decision to go into real estate as a full-time career. In this short period of time, with a 52% referral rate from past clients and my sphere of influence, my career has taken off. I've become a top agent in our region with 57 closings in 2019 and just over $10,000,000 in sales.
This brings my total book of business to $19,500,000 since May 1, 2017, and it continues to grow. I have a great team that I work with that includes lenders, insurance agents, title researcher, surveyors, home inspectors, septic compliance, and even water testing. This career change is the best move I could of ever made.
